The Domestic Job Training program is comprised of coursework, an English immersion camp, and an internship at a company located in Japan. Coursework is eclectic, and focuses on contemporary social issues that are rarely addressed in formal educational contexts. The week-long immersion camp is comprised of various team-based arts, crafts, sports, games, cooking, and other activities that foster the development of communicative English skills. Most internships are held at local businesses, though internships are occasionally located in another city.
Students who complete this program are also eligible to apply for the Overseas Job Training program. Students who are selected to participate in both programs have the rare opportunity to participate in two English internships during their undergraduate years, one in Japan and the other abroad.
